What is the best workshop you ever attended and what made it so memorable?
Koh Klang is a small island with a vibrant and creative Islamic population in the middle of the Krabi River, just about 10 minutes away from the city by boat. The locals are living a charming lifestyle in a small area.
At first, we arrived at the pier from Krabi Airport and took a boat to Koh Klang. The best part of the boat is a beautiful mangrove forest with its amazing ecosystems and stunning natural landscapes.
After arriving, we tried an ancient art master class, called Batik painting. To fully experience the uniqueness of Koh Klang, we recommend joining this incredible local art workshop. This traditional painting technique has been practicing for thousands of years in Southeast Asia, especially Krabi.
The main point of this workshop is to stamp hot liquid wax onto a piece of cotton cloth to create repeating patterns. After the beeswax borders of your future artwork are stamped, participants start painting with provided brushes and acrylic paintings. This workshop is not like any others and we enjoyed every minute of it!
