What are your favorite tips for sustainable travel? For us, we try to reduce plastic use to the minimum as well as we try to support eco-friendly destinations.
Last year we heard about the eco-friendly market “Talat Pa Phai Sang Suk” (Bamboo Forest for Happiness Market). Since then it became our bucket list item, and we were happy to get a chance to have a look by ourselves.
Most importantly, nearly all the packages at Talat Pa Phai Sang Suk market are natural-made with some small exceptions. Along with its “zero-waste” approach, this market also practices rubbish sorting. They became famous for stopping using popular in Asia styrofoam containers. A great addition to this spot is that it located in the bamboo forest. So you can expect to wander around for an hour or two trying some delicious local snacks and buy local eco-friendly souvenirs.
Talat Pa Phai Sang Suk market is located in Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung province, South Thailand. It is a great place to try local delights and take some nice shots. The market is open every weekend, between 7 am and 5 pm. They also host various exhibitions and cultural events. While we were there, there was a local band playing some South-Thai tunes, while local visitors were dancing. It all felt natural and welcoming.
We look forward to seeing more environment-friendly markets with delicious local food in the future! Hopefully, more people could visit Talat Pa Phai Sang Suk to find an inspiration to change the world to be a better place.

พัทลุง นอกจากทะเลน้อย คลองปากประ แล้วยังมีตลาดที่ถูกปกคลุมไปด้วยป่าไผ่ มีความร่มรื่นรวมทั้งเป็นแหล่งรวมอาหารท้องถื่นนานาชนิด ที่ต้องมา 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠-𝙞𝙣 ให้ได้ ที่สำคัญคือที่นี่รณรงค์ใช้พลาสติกให้น้อยที่สุด และไม่มีการใช้โฟมอีกด้วย
