Anantara Hua Hin Resort (Hotel Review)

Anantara Hua Hin Resort is an incredible place for a relaxing getaway near Bangkok. We enjoyed staying two nights at Junior Lagoon View Suite next to the lotus pond. The room itself was just perfect – modernly decorated with vintage boutique vibes.

We were offered additional privileges as the Lagoon guests: we got access to a private swimming pool with the most incredible pool view ever, evening cocktails in the exclusive lounge zone, an afternoon tea ceremony in a room with delicious snacks, and a memorable dining experience at Sai Thong Restaurant. But let us tell everything one by one in detail!

Junior Lagoon View Suite

Anantara Hua Hin Resort is a 5-star beachfront resort in Hua Hin decorated in a luxurious tropical style that may remind guests about Bali. The atmosphere inside the resort is very calm and relaxing.

Those who booked Junior Lagoon View Suite would get even more impressive natural surroundings, suitable for relaxation together with the other half or family. Buildings are no more than 2-stories high, set apart from each other with gardens and lotus ponds. It makes you feel like walking around a tropical garden all day long!

The room we stayed in, Junior Lagoon View Suite, was on the 2nd floor with the lotus pond view from the balcony. The balcony itself is very spacious. Guests can enjoy observing incredible nature views and waking up in the morning to the sound of birds singing.

The space has a cream-colored palette, modern wooden furniture, vintage decorations as well as high ceilings, altogether it adding a cozy touch to the room.

The bathroom has two sinks and an impressive bath with a divider. The partition separates the bathroom and room – guests can open or close it.

Cocktail Hour & Canapés at Lagoon Pool

The guests who stay at Junior Lagoon View Suite have exclusive access to some of the Anantara Hua Hin benefits. We had cocktails, mocktails, and delicious snacks near Lagoon Pool & Bar during our first day.

We tried nachos with salsa, nuggets, a huge healthy salad, spaghetti with fish, canapés and a variety of beverages! All food was freshly prepared and served around 5 pm.

The guest can enjoy privacy during their cocktail hour – there are different areas available, including seats by the pool, in the garden, or by the lotus pond. There were only few guests during the cocktail hour, so you can spend time relaxing in the nature and hiding from the main crowd.

Afternoon Tea

Do not miss a chance to enjoy absolutely amazing tea ceremony that may be organized in your room or outside by swimming pool and garden. Since we had a little bit of rain on the second day, we decided to enjoy our time inside the room with yummy snacks and beverages. Afternoon tea is an addition service for those who interested but we would say it absolutely worth it!

There were many options to choose from, including green tea, hot mocha, iced latte, as well as variety of snacks. We had thai desserts, crabcakes, shrimps and sandwiches. These delicious snacks and refreshing drinks were comfort food at its best!

Private Lagoon Pool And Bar

There are two large swimming pools with different vibes. The first pool is on the seashore with a bar in the middle. The guests can order cold drinks and soak under the sun.

Those who booked Junior Lagoon View Suite can access the second pool by lagoons and lotus ponds. In the end, we spent most of our time in the Private Lagoon Pool since there are plenty of pictures opportunities, especially using a drone. It was one of the most beautiful views from the swimming pool we ever had. This swimming pool view is much more epic in real (you MUST see it yourself!), but here are some of our photos!

SAI THONG RESTAURANT: Dining Experience by Sea

We enjoyed our dinner at Sai Thong Restaurant two nights straight! Both nights we had a romantic atmosphere by the sea with a cool breeze. The menu has a wide variety of food, including grills, plenty of fresh seafood options, Thai, Asian and Western dishes, homemade pasta, and more!

We tried a lot of different menu options and enjoyed all food we had! Not only delicious and fresh but also aesthetically pleasing. Organic Chicken from Korat, for example, is a chicken breast with king oyster mushroom, black truffle, and tarragon jus. Another incredible dish we tried was Tuna Tartare, which is Akami tuna, avocado wasabi, miso, lime. Just perfection of the flavor. Also, it looks just like a piece of art!

We would also highlight Tartufo (bucatini with black truffle and parmesan cheese), Seared Scallops (seared scallops, green apple, salt-baked beetroot, ginger beurre blanc), Authentic Crab Curry (Southern-style crab meat curry with pepper leaves and rice noodle).

Seafood is just another level, so we could not stop eating even when we were full. In just two days we tried a lot of different food, including signature Lobster Bisque (lobster bisque soup, Sautéed lobster) and Organic Squid (stir-fried squid with roasted chili paste, garlic, and basil). Sai Thong Restaurant is definitely can satisfy every gourmet!

And in the end, we tried incredible desserts. Freshly baked Hot Chocolate Fondant with vanilla ice cream and Texture of Berries, which is fresh berries, compote, agar with strawberry ice-cream. It was just the perfect way to finish our evening!

By the way, there are many other worths trying cuisines and if you would like to experience a similar dining experience, you can check their dining menu and beverage menu. Also, you can visit the Sai Thong Restaurant website for more information.
