Phatthalung Province offers a lot of things to try and see. And if you are looking for an interesting DIY-activity, we recommend you to check the workshop at the Varni Craft. The place offers a master class where people can learn how to decorate a Krajood bag, which recently became a very trendy item for ladies in Thailand.
First, you choose a handmade product for decorating. It may be a bag, a folder for papers or a holder for a coffee cup. After, you start to paint on it with provided acrylic paints and brushes. At last, you can stick on it any word with letter appliques or hang a bag tassel to your new accessory. The shop provides drinking water and a local dessert during the activity.
We had a lot of fun for a few hours! Aon made a bag with AON appliques on it, while Lan made a very simple design for his mother.
When we arrived at Varni Craft, local women were weaving handbags. It was amazing to see how fast they can work with their hands. You may also buy accessories in their brand store.
This place has a very cozy accommodation called Varni Homestay. You can rent a patio with a beautiful chilling area in front. We did not stay over the night there but the staff allowed us to take photos for our blog.

ภายในมีการสาธิตให้เราดูวิธีการทำกระเป๋าจากกระจูด และที่สำคัญ “มุมถ่ายรูป” Signature ของ Varni Homestay ซึ่งจะอยู่ในพื้นที่ส่วนที่พัก ซึ่งสำหรับใครที่อยากลองแวะพักเพื่อทำกิจกรรมได้เต็มวัน…ก็ควรจัด!
