Being a tourist in your city can be a lot of fun if you choose the right place for your stay. Staycations are trending in the last few years and they immediately became our favorite type of leisure activity if we spend a weekend in Bangkok.

This time we decided to check Le Méridien Bangkok, which is located in the center of Silom – the iconic area just in Bangkok downtown.
Location

Because of the location and variety of food options, Le Méridien Bangkok was our first choice. Recently Le Méridien Bangkok was renovated, so we took it as the second reason to come and check it for our staycation.
The hotel can be easily accessed by BTS (Saladaeng Station) and MRT (Sam YanStation). Comfortable parking is available for guests as well.
Deluxe Corner Room
Le Méridien Bangkok looks beautiful, luxurious, and modern. We stayed in the Deluxe Corner Room, a beautiful room with a chic design and full facilities inside.
Deluxe Corner Room is a cozy room for two, measuring 37 square meters. The whole area is designed to bring joy to the guests. The comfortable king-size bed comes with four pillows which you can change according to your needs. The room features a bathtub, automatic toilet, rain shower, JBL speaker, and relaxing sofa with a spectacular city view of Bangkok. The refrigerator zone is equally good, with water, soft drinks, snacks, tea, coffee, a kettle, and a coffee maker. The work zone with lamps, power sockets, and chairs is ready for anyone who brings work to staycation.
The room is decorated in white, black, and brown colors, giving a modern and minimalist look. We liked how the room felt stylish but warm and cozy at the same time. There are plenty of picturesque photo opportunities for those who enjoy taking photos for Instagram or videos for Tik Tok.
SPA by Le Méridien
SPA for two is the easiest way to disconnect from the world and relax together. Stress relief, smooth skin, and an excellent mood are guaranteed!
For our treatment, we have chosen Discovery massage. It is a combination of the best Thai and Balinese massage techniques. This relaxing aromatic oil massage is a signature of the SPA by Le Méridien for a good reason! The session was incredible, and we enjoyed our treatment a lot.
Before a massage, we had a welcome drink, filled in a health assessment, and chose aromas of essential oils.
After, we had a relaxed session with experienced massage therapists who made us feel recharged and relaxed. The massage pressure was strong but painless and relaxing at the same time. The oil was very aromatic, and the skin felt soft after the treatment.
The spa room has a spacious bathroom and even build in a steam room. We requested to spend an extra time after our Discovery massage inside the steam room.
After, we had a healthy herbal drink and peanuts.
Pool & Gym
SPA, swimming pool, and gym are on the 6th floor. So on the way from our massage, we stopped by the swimming pool to enjoy the cityscape view featuring the Mahanakhon Building. The hotel guests can order drinks and food to enjoy by the pool.
We had two workout sessions in the gym during our stay. Overall we felt like we had not just a relaxed but a healthy stay.
Afternoon Tea at Latitude 13°
After leisure time, we headed to the lobby area to sip the afternoon tea ceremony at Latitude 13°. We were asked to choose from a variety of premium tea flavors and refreshing coffee. It was served with delicious food and fusion desserts that perfectly blend Thai flavors with Western-style delights.
Breakfast
In the morning, we woke up and went down to the second floor to get breakfast. The dining room area is widely designed and perfectly decorated. Sitting is comfortable to walking around and picking up food.
Le Méridien Bangkok offers a buffet-style breakfast with a variety of international cuisines. The choice is unbelievable! We especially liked the salad bar – vegetables, fruits, nuts, cereals, smoked salmon, salami, and different types of meat. As salad fans, we loved how vegetables were fresh and very crispy. Bread-zone has croissants, french toast, baguettes, and many different types of bread.
A good selection of Asian food is available as well. The Japanese corner impressed us with aromatic miso soup and grilled salmon. You can also find a lot of curries, side dishes, and some international cuisines. In addition to the buffet, there is also a kitchen zone. You can order noodles or egg dishes from the chef.
Great selection of healthy options and desserts. Plus homemade ice cream with toppings to choose from, fulfilling every childhood dream.
Creative Hour
Another highlight of the stay was the Creative Hour. The concept is simple – free-flow cocktails and wine with a finger food buffet for two hours every evening. We enjoyed our evening together and definitely would recommend this activity for couples.
Our stay at Le Méridien Bangkok was charming. We enjoyed the experience of relaxation in the middle of Bangkok. Since we stayed two nights, we wanted to go out to Silom, but there were so many great activities inside the hotel that we stayed in and enjoyed a romantic time together.
Le Méridien Bangkok
We loved our staycation at Le Méridien Bangkok and would recommend it to anyone who is looking comfortable and modern hotel for a few days to recharge, try out new food and treat yourself nicely.
