Is Jim Thompson Farm worth visiting? Tour to Thailand floral & sunflowers paradise (December 2022)

Should I Visit Jim Thompson Farm? This question has been asked several times and we decided to check it out ourselves!

From 3 December to 2 January in the Nakhon Ratchasima region, which is only 2,5 hours from Bangkok by car, the Jim Thompson Farm takes place. This yearly event is an open month on farms that grow flowers with a new theme every year. This place was an impressive discovery for us and we look forward to showing you our experience at Jim Thompson Farm!

Normally, the Jim Thompson Farm Tour event organize differently each year. In 2022 the theme is “Mahomma Ton Saon Dokmai” which indicates, in the Isaan language, a welcoming feeling toward relatives and friends and satisfaction.

This year’s special event Jim Thompson Farm was honored by the Thai-Japanese artist and designer Yuree Gensaku, who is well-known in Thai and international art circles. He came on board to organize a farm tour in 2022 and highlight the symbols of the Jim Thompson Farm Tour. He created flower design concepts that are colorful, clear, and full of Yuree Gensaku style.

We had a wonderful time wandering around the farm and looking at different flower fields. The farm highlight for us was sunflower fields, a popular opinion among local tourists. Jim Thompson Farm is only open to visitors for one month in December and January, so if you are in Thailand during these months, be sure to go and look!
