All walls are covered with hard and soft coral and shellfish – they are home to the sea inhabitants of Phi Phi Island. In this place, you can find numerous scorpions, fish, and parrots.

Maya Bay – the bay on Phi Phi, where the movie “The Beach” was filmed and, since then it became one of the most popular destinations in Thailand.

Maya Bay is a charming bay on the uninhabited island of Ko Phi Phi Lee (Little Phi Phi), located in the Andaman Sea in the Krabi province of Thailand. Maya Bay became famous all over the world in 2000 since the film “The Beach” was filmed with Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role.

It was thanks to the film that the bay gained immense fame and became one of the most visited places in the Land of Smiles. Maya Bay is located on the island of Ko Phi Phi Lee, which is part of the Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park.

Tourists come here from Ao Nang beach, vacationing on Phi Phi Don (Big Phi Phi) and from Phuket. Everyone wants to see the most beautiful bay in the world and see if it matches the footage from the movie.

In the clear depths of Maya Bay, coral reefs are visible, attracting the attention of driving enthusiasts. Snorkeling fans also love the bay with crystal clear, transparent water: here you can meet tourists from all countries. Everyone loves the magnificent 200-meter long beach with fine velvet sand as if crushed in a giant coffee grinder.

By the way, Maya Bay is not an island, as many think, but a sandy beach in a bay located on the island of Phi Phi Le. The main feature of Maya Bay beach is that it is almost surrounded by high cliffs and this beautiful bay is almost invisible from the side. The beach at Maya Bay is really beautiful. The sand here is very soft, fine, and clean.
