Earlier we decided to have a private celebration of Pride in 2021 by staying in our favorite hotels and resorts around Bangkok, where we can feel comfortable, safe, and private. And since we had an excellent experience at SO Sofitel Hua Hin two years ago, we decided to be back to experience two nights in the One-Bedroom SO Pool Villa this time! After our three unforgettable days in this sea-front resort, we are ready to share with you all the details! Are you ready? Let’s do it!
About SO Sofitel Hua Hin
SO Sofitel Hua Hin is located near Cha Am beach, which is 30 minutes away from Hua Hin city center or around 2 hours drive from Bangkok. Hua Hin is one of the oldest resorts in Thailand. In the 1920s, King Rama VII built a summer palace here, and since then it has been a favorite vacation spot for the royal family.
Hua Hin is also known for its 5 km long white sand beach and numerous golf courses. Most of the resorts attract lovers of quiet, secluded relaxation, including LGBTQ+ couples, couples, families, and families with children.
There are three One-Bedroom SO Pool Villas and six Two-Bedroom SO Pool Villas available for booking at SO Sofitel Hua Hin.
The extra reason to like this resort is the variety of rooms to choose from, not just a villa. There are family rooms available, as well as differently designed rooms with pool access and even rooms with a cute outdoor kid’s house.

One-Bedroom SO Pool Villa Facilities
The territory of the One-Bedroom SO Pool Villa is 215 m2. Inside the villa: private swimming pool, signature kingsize bed with different sleep pillows available, an open oversized rainshower, bathtub, sofa, large table, chairs, two TVs, a Bluetooth speaker, bathrobes, slippers, refrigerator, kettle, tea and coffee set, cups, glasses for wine, champagne, water, corkscrew. There is also a capsule coffee machine and a complimentary in-room private bar with snacks and drinks.
Each villa has its own swimming pool as well as a terrace with plenty of space, two sun loungers, outdoor sofa and a table with chairs.
Private Swimming Pool
Any outdoor pool adds variety to your summer vacation. For those who wish to completely dissolve in a swimming pool, a private villa will be the best answer! Start your morning in the pool and keep going through the day without any people around. We had such a good time in this pool during our stay.
Floating Breakfast
The era of social media and Instagram particularly has brought many changes to the concept of luxury. Now, in almost any 5-star hotel in all resorts, you can enjoy a floating breakfast that will be brought to you right in the pool. The breakfasts are so beautiful that they need to be added to the must-do list right away. Why start your day with simple toast or yogurt when there is such a masterpiece?
All you have to do to have a delicious meal is wake up and plunge into the cool pool. Perfection, if you ask us!

Public Swimming Pools
SO Sofitel Hua Hin features three public outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, pickle ball, bicycle lane, table tennis, mini-golf, and much more. This 5-star resort also offers a kid’s care center and an outdoor cinema near the beach.
Many people come to the resort to spend time by the pool, especially SO Signature Pool with WiBit Adventure Float, which many guests enjoy a lot! It was so fun for us to play again and we already can’t wait to be back to spend some time playing with WiBit in a near future.
We also love the Solarium Pool – a swimming pool located near the spa. You can have some privacy here as it can be used for adults only. The whole area is very beautiful and stylish as well.
Pro tip: we love to come to this pool around a golden hour to get good light for photos with no people! Last time we took a few lazy shots that became viral on our Instagram, so during our stay, we came to this pool again for new photos.
SO Wonderland Mini Golf
If you are already tried everything during your stay, you can try your hand at mini-golf. Mini-golf easily fits into the schedule when you stay at SO Sofitel Hua Hin.
SO Wonderland Mini Golf has the presence of irregularities and bends, a variety of obstacles only enhances the excitement and complicates the course of the game. The mini golf at SO Sofitel Hua Hin is a full 18-hole course. If you haven’t tried mini golf yet, you definitely should!
Dinner at Beach Society Restaurant
Of course, when visiting the seaside of Thailand, one cannot but eat local seafood for dinner. And since we knew how delicious food at Beach Society restaurant, we came to try some dishes and loved every single bit of our meal!
We’ve ordered a lime and linchi mocktails. And shortly after we got fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dippings. As a starter, we had Charcuterie Platter with a variety of imported cheeses and cold cuts served with druid fruits and pickles. We enjoyed the flavor and the taste a lot while ordering the main dishes.
After that, we were absolutely impressed by the Grilled Seafood Platter with plenty of local seafood including lobster, shrimps, calamari, and more. The seafood was so fresh and delicious. The seafood sauce was absolutely incredible too.
We also had Salt Crust Grilled Fish, which was a whole fish served with mixed greens and Thai spicy seafood sauce.
As a dessert, we tried Cookie Lava, which came with salted caramel and vanilla bean ice cream! And even we were full, we ate it all!
The Beach Society is definitely one of the best beachfront restaurants in Hua Hin, especially if you would like to eat fresh seafood.
